iNews Publisher Implementation

Click on left menu links to try some of the different viewing options built into iNews Publisher.

Once you've completed your installation, you can browse a page similar to this, on your site. You would try out these views until you found the one that best suits your needs. For many of the views, simply copy the link from your browser, and paste it onto your page (HTML, ASP...). Some views can be included as part of an existing ASP page.

On the left side, you can find a list of links to choose from. Select one, several, or all of them to be used on your site.

Q: What is the iNews Publisher ?
The iNews Publisher allows you to publish news articles on your web site. With a powerful administration and very flexible publishing modes, it's easy to run your very own news engine.

Q: Can I implement my site design to the iNews Publisher ?
Yes you can do this simply by modifying the iNews Publisher header and footer files, to include your site's layout.

Q: Do you impose any limits on the iNews Publisher ?
No, absolutely not. Once you purchase your licence (one time cost) you will be able to add an unlimited number of articles, categories and authors, and use it for as long as you wish.

Q: Can I produce RSS output using the iNews Publisher ?
Yes, you can. You can output RSS using the built in RSS engine. Click here for more details and to see some examples.

Q: Can I read and post other site's RSS feeds ?
Yes you can. We have provided a simple wizard in the administration that allows you to build a simple 2 line code that, when inserted to your web site, will read any valid RSS feed from other web sites, or even from your own web site.

Q: Can more then 1 person post the news articles ?
Yes. You can add an unlimited number of people (agents / authors / editors) that have access to the administration. You can assign security levels to them, so they will only have access to what you want. See the administration demo for more details: Administration Login

Q: Can I include my news on other places in my web site ?
Yes, include news on any ASP page in your website, such as your front page. We provide 9 ways of including your news article titles/links, plus you can include a news search box. See the links on the top left for examples.

Q: Can I add several columns of news on one page ?
Yes. You can paste multiple include statements onto one page without program conficts within iNP. (Simply build one or more tables on your page, and include a news view in each cell.)

You will probably want to do this with a category specific view so there will be less chance of duplicate articles. (This will require you to make copies of one of the CATEGORY SPECIFIC views, and rename them based on the chosen category.)

Q: Does it have to be an ASP page ?
No. You can link to various news views from any type of page.

To include the news so that it appears on an existing page, it needs to be an asp page. Please note that HTML pages can be saved as asp pages. [ Read more info. ]

Q: What if I have questions ?
You can contact Expinion.net with your iNP questions anytime - 24/7 [ here ]. We'll try to help you out as quickly as possible.
